    Using Van Dorn Gourmets BBQ Spice Rub

   

Ingredients:

3 pound fresh pork shoulder, bone in

3 Tablespoons Van Dorn Gourmets BBQ Spice Rub*

BBQ Sauce (see recipe here)

Onion Spread (see recipe here)

6 brioshe rolls

 

Directions:

Rinse pork shoulder, pat dry, and rub generously with BBQ Spice Rub.  For even more flavor, let them sit in the refrigerator overnight.   Next, preheat oven to 225 degreees. Bake, uncovered, for 5-6 hours, or until reaching an internal temperature of 150 degrees.  Cover, and let rest for 2 additional hours.  With a fork, remove any excess fat and seperate the meat from the bone.  It should be very tender and almost fall appart.  Drain any excess liquid and combine meat with the desired amount of BBQ sauce, and serve on rolls with onion spread.
